Emergency Dental Care

What is a dental emergency?
A dental emergency is a dental problem involving the teeth or gums that requires immediate attention. Emergency care can include getting someone out of pain, stopping bleeding, or saving a tooth.

Though never convenient, dental emergencies should not be ignored as doing so can lead to more serious and costly problems. Dr. Bhave and our staff accept dental emergencies, so please contact us immediately if you suspect that you have a dental emergency on your hands.

Common signs of a dental emergency
Here are situations that may indicate a dental emergency:

  • toothache
  • lost filling or crown
  • chipped or broken tooth
  • knocked out tooth
  • loose (adult) tooth
  • injury to the mouth
  • dental abscess
  • broken or loose braces or wires
  • an object stuck between the teeth

It is best to contact your dentist if you have one or more of these signs or if you feel you need immediate care.
